Well I was fond of a pint of snakebite during my scuzzbag teens in the early 90s They were happy to serve it in the Buttery and the Foggy Dew (the old, divey Foggy Dew, not the modern monstrosity in its place that now bears the name). Mind you, as the beer involved was probably slops, I doubt they were doing it much of a disservice. Can you still get snakebite in pubs? Perhaps it'll make a comeback if this recession kicks in, along with acid, 'knacker drinking' down the back lanes, and bringing naggins of vodka into pubs to add to the one orange juice you can afford to buy all night.

Blackcurrant in Guinness...GGGGRRRRRRRRR
Just drink something thats sweet enough already. As a barman i don't understand people changing the flavour profile of a drink(or any drink for that matter)just to say the "drank it".
Although, i did convince a yank once, that all the cool people were using lime cordial insted of blackcurrant, shoulda seen his face after 20 mins of bravery

its been a long time since I've seen anyone drinking blackcurrant in a pint of Guinness. Didn't know it was still done by anyone

I know it's probably a bit petty but my peeve at the moment is serving beers too cold.

I've seen it done by visiting Welsh rugby supporters. Kind of a contradiction it seems to me; [size=75:374t0dsp]maybe more suited to visiting Welsh fashionistas......[/size:374t0dsp]

I agree, but that seems some sort of mass delusion rather then a few ill judged people.

I am embarrassed I have so few memories of snakebite.

Then again I should say, well some people like Bud,[/quote:7ng93ef9]

Get ready with the wooden steak to drive through my black black heart but I actually like Bud. Well not like so much as loathe with a religious fury. But at a concert straight out of the tanker on a hot day it is quite nice. Certainly in comparison to the Heineken or Carlsberg they serve at concerts.
