Welcome to the group.
Yes, you're very much preaching to the converted here, and to several of the gods in the craft beer pantheon too <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="

" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->
We've discussed this issue a couple of times, like here[/url:1cmamnuq] for instance, and I think we may even be reaching the point where a proper consumer group could be set up.
But your biggest enemy in this, I think, is not the drinks industry, it's the drinkers. It's the people who drink a beer because of its branding; it's the people who won't drink beer because it's rubbish and for lower-class people with unsophisticated tastes; it's the people who will walk up to a bar, any bar, and order without looking at what's on offer or how much it costs. Those people -- the drinkers of Ireland -- are craft beer's enemy number one.
I preach from this pulpit[/url:1cmamnuq] from time to time. Doubt if it does much good.
So best of luck in your beervangelism, brother. I'd say you can depend on ICB for support in your mission.
