I could see the control on advertising making FG very unpopular down the country.

Had an interesting chat with a barman recently who maintained offy prices were too low, but bar prices were also too high.

His logic, which has some truth to it, is that drink from the offy is consumed unsupervised.

I think he was making the point you generally don't tend to get kids drinking themselves into a coma when they're in a pub.

I can see logic to it, though I'd prefer any legislation to be introduced on a trial basis, starting with the complete liberalisation of opening hours.
