Thanks for stopping by, Jonathan.

Will the companies using your unbranded beers have to say where they were brewed, or do they have a free hand with the labelling? I'm not enjoying the thought of all these new brands of beer appearing and trying to figure if they're from yourselves, or another Irish contractor, or from abroad.

Good question and not one that has been fully worked out. If we package it at the facility we'll require a location where it was produced and packaged. Saying that... The unbranded beers being produced by us and served on draft will not have that restriction, but I'm pretty sure that those secrets will become common knowledge pretty quickly.

Good luck with the set-up.

Welcome aboard Jonathan, where is the brewery based in Dublin ?

I know Tube on the NHC worked out some homebrew production costs:

Ingredients/Energy/Water/Excise duty/Vat could be as little as 38 cents a pint (IIRC).

NOTE: No labour or space rental in mash/ferment/conditioning.

So assuming you have a 500 litre system, & asuming a middle of the road 4.5 abv brew, not a hop-bomb, no weird ingredients, what sort of price could I take away my beer (in 10 of my own kegs)?

Even bigger question:
Am I then free to sell this on?

With a brewers licence and excise paid is there anything else?
