I think that was actually on here, and didn't include VAT or water.

No. You cannot buy it from the brewer and sell it on without a distributors licence.

One of the distributors might be able to sell it for you. Vanguard and the like.

I'm not thinking of selling it just curious as to how the system worked.

If you have a retail beer license (pub/club/resturant) then you just get it contract brewed, pay for it and take it away?

I don't think you have to pay duty, not directly. The brewery would because they are selling it to you. You would be charged VAT and the cost of the duty would be built in to the price. At least, that's how I see it.

Are they selling it to you? Its all your own ingredients so your only paying to rent their equipment.
