yes both those beers were done after the take over and brewed here. The IPA was pushed out to soon for my liking so it could be at Ruth's festival, it will be dry hopped for at least anothe week. I have some kegs of it which I will keep for festivals. It will be a main stay once we have spare capacity but I cannot see us doing it again until October based on current trade

Had a bottle of the IPA last night. It is very heavy on the caramel and one bottle was plenty. Still a very nice beer but could have done with more hops (normal complaint from me!)

Looking forward to the coffee porter- may delay till the weekend as i think these rare sunny summer evenings demand IPAs or Saisons.

I think its a lovely beer and will get better with tweaking. im curious about the carbonation. I wouldnt say Ive gone through a massive amount of imperial IPAs/DIPAs but the ones I have had that are not Irish seem to be more carbonated? Im mainly going on the Oharas DIPA and the FW IPA where as the likes of hardcore etc seem to have more carbonation. I havent brewed them myself but they seem more syrupy (which can be nice)...Perhaps this is off topic..

Why?

Did you taste it?

I did, and I tip my hat to Padraig.

In a word, Superb.[/quote:1jk1rxcq]

Take 'er easy, just having a bit of fun.

I wouldn't honestly look for any change in taste after a takeover unless there was also a change in brewing venue, as happened with Goose Island and Magic Hat.

And I did taste it.
It's not finished - i.e. underattenuated.
Quiet when you pop the cap, just a film of head when pouring and too sweet.

The way it's labelled makes it look like one to age, so maybe this will sort itself with time, but right now to me it's just not ready.
