I'll like a couple please

Should you start a separate list thread. I know back when you were making this q lot of us chipped in and said we'd like some.

Re the other fruits: What about a beoir fruit growing collective. We grow/pick/freeze fruits for you in exchange for beer <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P -->

Lidl have got white currant bushes in store now and would probably fruit next year.

Cheers

With regard to the Bilbeeries: Do you actually mean Blueberries?

Blueberries are easier to grow than Bilberries.

Again Lidl have been selling Blueberries. I bought two last year and got some to taste. Delicious.

Quote from Wikki:

Bilberries are extremely difficult to grow and are thus seldom cultivated. Fruits are mostly collected from wild plants growing on publicly accessible lands, notably Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Scotland, Wales, Ireland

In S. Wales we called them Winberries and they were very small ( approx 2 to 3 mm in dia but loveley flavour )

They grow in poor acid soils on mountains and hillsides as low clumpy bushes ( about 1 foot high ) They look a bit like compact heathers when in flower.

Hope this helps

They are know as frocken's in these parts, I allways asumed rightly or wrongly they were an uncultavated blueberry as they are quiet similar but smaller

Theres a rock face opposite the train station in Waterford called Bilberry but you might have to fight the Bilberry goats[/url:2yvviwmh] for them
