Jaysus, ugly, foul stuff, 8 quid, literally down the drain. It was actually almost causing a gag reflex in me I found it that unpleasant, I wasn't pouring it down my neck either, this was small sips.
The wife hated it too, ah well their normal beers can be quite good.

Actually.. Tokyo is fabulous stuff, to me anyway.
One on your own can be a little much but a bottle of Tokyo shared is a great way to spend a couple of hours. My wife does not drink stout so I have to drink it on my own.

I love this beer! I've had in twice, sharing with people both times. Surprisingly easy to drink for something with such a high alcohol content.

Is it a regular brew from them or will it disappear from the shelves soon? Might consider picking up a few bottles if it's not going to be available for much longer.

I loved it too.

It's semi-regular, I think, in that they make it now and again. It's the second batch of Tokyo* that's knocking around at the moment. The original Tokyo wasn't repeated.

I had a fair idea that I wasn't leaning on an open door around here with that appraisal of the beer, but it's easily the worst drink I've ever tasted, apart from maybe Polish 95% spiritus or Stroh 80 or those other really strong spirits.
