yes but he was arrested for doing so, not so long ago, although there was some question over whether it was about excise or being licensed <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.breakingnews.ie/archives/2007/1119/ireland/mhmhqlkfauoj/">www.breakingnews.ie/archives/200 ... hqlkfauoj/

Ah ok, I didn't realise he got busted for it, thought it was all above board.

Maybe he's just selling the bottles which happen to have liquid in them, which may or not be beer?

You go ahead and say that to a judge. See how far it gets you.

well it does seem that he was unfairly targetted, and if the issue was licensing and not excise then his argument as I recall was that there is a provision somewhere in the law that says if the cider is produced on a farm it doesn't need a license. I think that was specific to cider though and not beer. Anyway he's still selling away at things like the tinehealy show, saw him there back in august or whenever it was.

He is only selling it in wholesale quantities now (you need to buy it by the case) and the excise man is getting his cut.
