Whilst indulging in Deveneys Hopfen-weiss special[/url:1b36p6lq], I managed to snag myself one of these bad boys, straight out of Wallys' hands.

Whilst I wouldn't normally go for a pilsner, I figured it would be nice to beat TBN to a beer for a change, so grabbed one of the two samples on the counter, apparently one of only 2 that someone other than Porterhouse Staff have tried. I don't think I've ever had the draught version in the PH either, tending towards Red, Wrasslers or Truffle, so I'm not really in a great position for to undertake a review, but here goes <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="

Pours a light amber colour, not much in the way of head. Nice, slighty sandy mouthfeel, with a nice flavour which fades to a gentle hoppy dryness. Not much in the way of discernable aroma jumping out at me.
Considering I'd be very much in the hophead camp (hence the legging it for the hopfenweiss), this is definitely something I'd definitely consider drinking again, would be super on a summers day with a BBQ.
