I had this beer last night. It is top notch. Its even better than the boc I think. And its strong, 6%, so be careful.

ok that settles it, watching the match in messrs

It's actually quite hard to find a pub in the city centre that's good for sport while serving craft beer. Messrs is not a favourite of mine but they do have good beer (even if they don't promote it) and plenty of screens. Likewise O'Neills which would be my other suggestion.

As AFIM said we had the Julol last night. As a big fan of MM Bock I think is similar but possibly even better. Obviously you have to leave it warm up.* It's lovely with toffee, biscuits and a lovely spicy warming finish to it. Fantastic stuff.

[size=75:5kxd4wga]* Beer served too cold is a rant for another day. [/size:5kxd4wga]

Well, I agree Julol has a very prominent metallic taste which lingers for quite a while. But I'm not sure it's there with the rest of the beers. On the positive side, there are some really nice spicy notes up front and a nice alcohol warmness. It's not up there with the Boch IMO, but it's certainly not a disaster.
