Where's O'Neill's on the SCR?

Funny, Redmond's is the cheapest I've found for the St Peter's beers, by quite a bit. There doesn't seem to be any consistency in off licence pricing.

Heading into town, take a left at Leonard's corner. It's just opposite the old Griffith's Barracks. Has a blue facade. Pretty good selection (I got a Bitter and Twisted, the Rogue Stout and a Goose Island Honkers Ale). n1mbus is arranging a tasting night in his work place (a Belgian beer night with me assisting <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->) so we went on a scouting mission to there and Redmonds. n1mbus has the figures, but on Duvel, to name but one, Redmonds was about 40c more expensive. They generally seemed to be on average 30c cheaper I think.

I'm sure they were wondering what the hell n1mbus was doing asking for a pen and writing down lists of prices. They may have thought we were from a consumer association <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

I should point out we were pricing Belgian beers, so my "average price difference" is based on those.

Called in to O'Neill's today: great little off licence. They must have pulled their prices out of a hat though: one St Peter's was €3.29, another was €4.29. And, unusally, they do have legible prices on the shelves. So many places have none or else an unsorted printed list in tiny text taped to the fridge -- I'm looking at [i:2uxyxwv0]you[/i:2uxyxwv0], Carvill's and Deveney's Rathmines <!-- s:x --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_mad.gif" alt="" title="Mad" /><!-- s:x -->.

Yeah, we noticed there was a good swing within a particular brand's range. What did you think of the prices overall? It's a nice little place, and fairly handy to get to (for us anyway <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->)
