It's in Salthill according to the article - "Now open in Upper Salthill adjacent to Claude’s Casino." Not far from Seapoint and the aquarium if that helps as a reference point.

Galway finally gets a brewpub!
Its funny as I would imagine that given the sort of people who live in Galway and how big a tourist destination it is that it would be the perfect city in Ireland for a bunch of brewpubs. In fact the Porterhouse must be mad not have already opened one.

I finally found time to visit Oslo. Have to say I really like the place. It's a modern-ish styled place that's got a nice homely feel to it.

Great selection of bottles and pumps. Sadly they'd run out of their own beer so I tried the Dark Wheat beer by Galway Hooker. Delicious although I think I'll wait till the winter to try it again instead of the mini-heatwave we had.

I agree and that immediately leads me to think about Kilkenny.

With its brewing tradition, as well as what you say about Galway anyone up for opening similar in Kilkenny?

I always thought Killarney would be a great spot too. Brewpub would probably be the way for all smaller towns (basically all of ireland).
