I looked at the possibility of nipping over for the day. Last train out of Galway for Dublin is at 18.05 <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!-- s:roll: -->

If I remember correctly, the bus is not much better so it would be an overnighter.

Well, I tried their Ale and was extremely disappointed. They hadn't carbonated it so no head and it was obviously flat. Sadly I found the beer to be pretty tasteless, similar to Smithwicks/Kilkenny.

I didn't try the lager as I don't generally like them. Think I'll be stick to Galway Hooker next time I'm in Oslo.

That being said I hope that they improve in the coming months.

Roll on the Beer Festival in a couple of weeks time.

That's a pity, I would have hoped the ale had more going for it, let's hope they inject some flavour, another Irish Red Ale is not exactly exciting.

Don't expect any Irish beer at the Great 'Irish' Beer Festival if it's anything like the previous incarnations.

Was it normal draught or cask? I did not notice cask taps when I was there (before the beer).
