A full golden ale would be a welcome addition to the beer scene I reckon. It would also be some what approachable by the conservative drinkers, on colour at least. Of course then they'd taste it and keel over.

any beer would benefit from being sold in 330ml dark screw cap bottles so people won't look at the colour of the beer and just rely on smell and taste. This also makes them kinda trendy.

An American-style pale ale; or
A nut brown ale.
