Talking to Peter last night, the machine has not yet arrived, so bottled Porterhouse beer is still several weeks away. It looks likely that the first run will be Plain (yay!) in 33cl bottles, but it's very likely that they'll move up to half-litre bottles later on.

The plain is a good choice, it would be great if it became semi regular bottle stout in dubbin pubs

i have heard on the drunken hop vine that we may not see bottles until june/july . but aside from that i had a quick chat with barry of the abbots alehouse and he said that he has been talking to the porterhouse folks and is looking at stocking some bottles in cork, could not give me a date though.

are they selling bottles of stout in July? Why not any of their lagers?

I'm basing that on us actually having a summer for a change....

Like i say that was a drunken chat with my source, it should have some credibility but i wouldn't put my house on it. i think they may have been referencing to the fsct tht the bottling line has not been installed/test run yet and that it may be june/july before the bottles will be (relatively) broadly available in ireland.

i think that last statement makes sense if it doesn't just disregard it completely.
