I imagine I am the only one awake of last nights tasting group having to come to work today, so I'll throw in my two cents on the brew.

I would describe it as a mild porter, dark red in colour with restrained roasted notes. I didn't really get much coffee from it, more of a nutty flavour when it had warmed up, and it had an unusual gas mix dispensing it which made for a strange head which was kind of prickly on the lips.

Very enjoyable over all, but definitley worth while letting it warm up a bit to get the best from it.

Still can't leave a comment from work.

Anyway, the photo looks very much like a red ale as opposed to a porter. But what's in a name if it tastes good. We'll see tomorrow.

I meant to say that: it does have mild-like qualities. Except, again, for the colour.
