Trip to London 18 years 2 months ago #1

Hi all

I am heading over to London with the wife at the end of the month and I am look for pub suggestions for some real ale. We will be staying near Russell square, but not confined to just that area. Also any good real ale pubs that serve good food as I will be celebrating my birthday and fancy some good ale with good food.

Got a few suggestion on Jims forum, just seeing if any also have other recommendations

Thanks

Don't miss Karl Marx's old watering hole The Museum Tavern, just opposite the British Museum's front gate -- Theakston's and much more besides. Fuller's flagship, The Lamb, is nearby and apparently wonderful, but I've never been. If it's not a weekend, be sure and check out The Jerusalem Tavern over in Clerkenwell: owned by the St Peter's Brewery. Gets bunged after five and doesn't open on weekends, but otherwise brilliant. For more, there's always Stonch's London map[/url:3q2jalic].

Wenlock Arms near Angel tube station, see website

It took 17 hours 29 minutes for someone to mention The Wenlock Arms.

That's a pretty good time considering the number of users we have.
