I don't think it's a single malt- Cam gave me a run through of the recipe and there is more than one in there...[/quote:rckee8is]

Ah, the website just list Pale malt for malt used. Oh well.....[/quote:rckee8is]
There is a chance that they changed the recipe. I did explain the concept of a SMaSH to Cam at the time...

Speaking of SmaSH...over the last couple of months I've been able to get my hands on some of Farmegeddon's Smash series and really enjoyed and was hugely impressed by them. Until I had the Amarillo two nights ago. I hate to use the phrase, "drain pour", as I find it incredibly offensive to brewers, but I truly found it difficult to drink. Anyone else try it?

Yep, I'd heard the name of the brewery before (in a very positive manner) but never tried any of their beers; so picked up a bottle when I spotted one expecting big things.
Not bad mouthing for the sake of bad mouthing, but "drain pour" is exactly what I did! I've posted elsewhere about it and been told it's most likely a bad batch (similar reactions from other people too). I'll try another of their beers anyway to see.

Looking forward to trying Enigma this weekend, 8 degrees have always impressed me with their specials. Don't remember having the choice of specials at this event last year in the CHQ, so good to get to try a few new beers!
