Wheat in Irish Pale Ales & IPA's 11 years 3 months ago #1

What's up with most of them putting wheat in their (I)PA's? Kinnegar, 8 Degrees, Galway Bay to name a few examples.

Most British and US brewers don't do this, correct?

I'd personally like to see less wheat in future brews.

Head retention. Not unheard of in the UK either.

Don't recall seeing "wheat" on the back of most of the best British brews we get over here. Or getting the shitty taste it gives to a lot of beers.

Having a bottle of Full Sail right now, not sure I'll be finishing it.

I do love The Full Irish and Amber Ella and was surprised when I found out they contained wheat.

I'm a fan of Kinnegar but hate Limeburner and Otway....
