A publican friend of mine recently began to venture into the craft beer side of things. He is looking for help in training up staff in product knowledge and general irish craft beer info. Is there anyone around that supplies that type of education and training?

At some point we will be attempting to provide some training but getting the time to do so has proven difficult. I had hoped to start earlier in the year but there's so much going on.
The info will be included in a newsletter when we know more.

I'd expect that whoever is supplying the beer would be able to provide this sort of help.

The way that I it, Beoir is a consumer organisation and it's in our interest to explain to publicans how to deal with consumers like ourselves. We know what we expect from a pub serving craft beer.

I might see if I can gauge any interest for volunteers to run something outside of Dublin.

Yeah, sorry: that wasn't meant to imply we shouldn't stick our noses in. It's just we're a bit thin on noses in some places.
