I don't have a problem with it being all out of context as there aren't *that* many threads to keep track of. Viewing posts since last visit is fine for when one first arrives at the site and is catching up, but for notifications during the day I much prefer an RSS notification to an e-mail.
I'm using FeedReader as my desktop aggregator, incidentally.
And while we're on the subject of The Two Sites (well you brought it up <!-- s:twisted: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_twisted.gif" alt="

" title="Twisted Evil" /><!-- s:twisted: --> ), is there a reason why pages on the main site are narrower than the forum? Can the tables (or divs or whatever you young folk use these days) be set to behave the same way, widthwise? I think the left and right margins of the main site pages are wasted.
