I don't suppose they can be converted for stout use. Isn't there a just thingy that goes into a regular tap that makes it do the stout head?
Chris

I don't think so.
AFAIK stout aeration happens courtesy of a disc with a few holes and a laminar flow piece. You can't remove the nozzle to tinker with the flow/aeration in these taps.

Chris, you'll need a nitrogen gas set up (capable of dispensing 70-30 N2/CO2 -- what BOC call Suremix 30[/url:3kfghtte]) as well as a stout tap, if you want that creamy head.

These taps will dispense stout fine on CO2, but the head will look like the head on any regular beer (or bottled stout even).

I have the nitrogen mix sorted. Just need a tap. I might try the Celli people in Dublin, fierce expensive though!

Probably cheaper to get a 2nd hand Guinness/Beamish/Murphy's tap off somewhere like adverts.ie.

(You might need to buy a flow control valve to go with it - John Guest do one)

There are a few options on ebay too.
