81 new hops, grains, yeasts & more for homebrew.ie 15 years 2 months ago #1

Hi folks.

As the tread suggests we have greatly increased our range when it comes to hops, grains, yeast & more.

We have added 24 new hops,

10 new Neale’s malts,
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.homebrew.ie/homebrew-grains/malted-homebrew-grains.html">www.homebrew.ie/homebrew-grains/ ... rains.html

We now have a complete range of Weyermann® malts,

We have a selection of white lab yeasts. Prices may not be as good as elsewhere but these are to test the market if they sell we will be able to get more with better discounts for you. Also there are savings to be made elsewhere on the site which more than makes up for this little difference,

The last few items we got are. Premium Grade Liquid Malt Extract Light & Dark

Servomyces Yeast Nutrient

And finally we have a no rinse Sanitiser Kit

Let me know what you think of these.
Hope to see you soon,
Donal.

Well then why not sell them at the expected higher bulk price.

Hardly a good test if you're selling them more expensive than they are going to be..

servomyces! I think that's a first in Ireland; a great, great yeast nutrient. All nutrients are bio-available as they're coming from dead yeast cells. MANY big breweries use Servo.

Great stuff!

Donal, do the malts (either Neals or Weyermanns) come in the original bags with the manufacturer's color statistics still on the label?

(I've had problems in the past with malt bags that have been split up and have had their own stickers put on them and the statistical information (mainly malt color) gets written down incorrectly and I end up with malts that are CLEARLY and CONSIDERABLY visibly darker, while their sticker claims that they're of a lighter color than another malt.)

-It makes it very hard for someone to estimate the actual final color of the beer this way.

It's also important to me to know what maltster each grain is coming from so it's nice to have this information; many of the beer tools can give you a more accurate color and fermentability information if the malster is known. (Great to see you calling this out.)
