I have a Hotpoint Fridge Freezer that's heading off to the WEEE centre in the next few days but thought that somebody on here might want to take it to make a Kegerator, Fermenting Chamber or even just to store beer in it.

It's in great condition apart from a slight problem with the thermostat in the Fridge section, and as a result it tends to get down too low temp wise, almost freezing, which is the reason why I hard to replace it. Great for storing Beer, but not so good for food. <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt="" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( -->

The model ref is a Hotpoint RFA17

Please note that I can't hang on to this for long as it's taking up too much space, and SWMBO is on my case to get rid of it, but if someone really wants it I'm sure we can sort something out.

Interesting, I'd love to take you up on it but I have no room at home since I have 2 1/2 houses worth of stuff being stored in mine... not to mention the building materials for the new bar & cinema

If someone was to take this though, the controls to the individual sections could be intercepted and replaced with an ATC or a custom thermostat giving you two fermentation chambers in a single package...

Yeah I was thinking that using the ATC to control the temp in the fridge would make the problem with the thermostat.....well not a problem. <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Id hate to see this go on the scrap heap, i have fermenting fridge already - and have no way of transporting it - so if someonne else wants to make use of it, i'll pass it up.

But if it is going on the scrap heap...... Ill find a way!
