Yeah, I plan to figure out how long it takes to cool to 10 - 12C for some ales, or even figure out roughly what temp I prefer, as I do like some ales at room temp!

I suppose just leaving it turned off so it's not chilling is the easy way to not have it too cold. A lot of my ales are served too warm but I rather that then having them too cold. I do throw a keg into the fermentation fridge when it's free now and again and it makes for a lovely pint when set to 12c

Despite seeing this online I didn;t get a chance to snap one up...

I presume you can use the dispenser without the coller mechanism? ANyone know?

I'm happy to drink my ale at about 12 Degrees which ois about the temp of my kitchen (old house)...

Do I have to have the unit 'On' to dispense or is will it work by pressure alone?

Dispensing unit is completely separate from the cooler and can operate independently of it. Housing unit simply contains a separate cooling plate.

Dispenser is very similar if not the same as this:

I have one and would definitely recommend it, they seem to pop up in lidl every few months or so, so you may get it again.

Already I have used a 16g C02 cylinder and poured about 2 liters - How much gas about, is needed to dispense a 5l keg?

Apart from lidl (german beers) who else sells 5l mini-kegs full of beer I would like to find Stella Artois or Grolsch if possible
