I know it was Adam's going away night, but as Adam said, his beer needed another 8 months conditioning to be right.
For me, both of JohnC's stouts stole the show. The cherry was fantastic if a little over carbonated (due to cherries I suspect) but the regular one was fantastic and even had some of the tartness in the cherry version.

Also liked Laura's apa.

Some great beers last night, my favourites were the 3 APAs and the BIPA. And the Killbeggan cask aged Imperial Stout was defintely interesting.

Good to see that Tim's still alive and sorry to see Adam go (well until November- hopefully his brew will have matured by then <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

Very high standard of beer last night, the imperial stouts were all highlights for me.

Seems unfair to put the rest of the beers up against the Kilbeggan stout - that totally stole the show for me.

But also excellent were Jacob's quite authentic Kolsch, Padraic hugely drinkable 5AM Saint-inspired session ale, Cathal's spot-on SNPA knockoff, and John_C's perfectly cherried stout.

Continually impressed by the high standard of beers we're making these days - keep it up!

I have to say I really enjoyed the beers I had on the night! I missed the APA's at the start but there was a small drop of kolsch left for me to taste, which I though was lovely and one I could drink on a session, though I might regret it at over 5%!

I really liked the barrel aged Imperial Stout, this is something I would love to make some day!

I thought the unbalanced APA was pretty good as well.

I must say the quality was high all around! Well done everyone!!
