Very much enjoyed the couple of hours I spent at Galway Festival. The beer nut has a full write up on his blog here[/url:1dzocjvu]I have little to add to that other than disappointingly the Porterhouse didn’t have red or TSB, only brainblasta @ 7 % there was a general lack of draft beer which meant drinking 500ml bottles rather than ½ pints as would be the form at a CAMRA festival.
There was a good atmosphere and it was well laid out. I will be returning next year hopefully with more beer stands.
Hooker was still top of the lot for me.

Had a great day at the festival. (Although was feeling some, ahem, 'off flavors' the next day - definitely for the best that the bierhaus doors were shut!) For me the highlights were the nice atmosphere, sound people on the bars (was great to meet the hooker guys,) tasting the elusive Budvar Dark - to me this tasted like a larger version of Guinness, strange at first but very nice once you got down to drinking it. And of course meeting some of the ICB'ers - hope to see ye again some time.

Had a greeeat time too at the festival. Glad to meet Bigears and Beernuts. I'm really sorry I lost you guys in Galway, but it was *really* time for me to head home.

+1 for the Dark Budvar, it's a pity it's not on sale in Ireland.

Hope you had a safe way back to Dublin. My Sunday was very, very quiet.
