The cask conditioned bit, is the blurb from the well, so I would also be sceptical. I will try that and look forward to the old speckled hen, as never had it on draft. Not a fan of the fruli, or the blue moon. I am hoping that they get a few hoppy amercian ales, then i might get excited.

I've heard a lot of hype about Doom Bar and have yet to try it on cask. I'll be in London the last weekend of October so I'll see if I can find it then. I tried it from the (clear) bottle recently and didn't particularly enjoy it. I'm sure the cask version will taste much better - at least I hope so.

Never been a fan. It's fairly common in London: the Museum Tavern usually has it. Though the Museum Tavern also usually has Theakston's Old Peculier. Om nom nom.

I had the Doom Bar on cask in Well Oktoberfest last year and thought it was quite nice. Also had the Old speckled hen in Bierhaus and Abbots earlier in the yeat and thought it was o.k. as well. Would happily have the Westmalle Dubbel and Hommel on draught any time and only had the Barbar Winterbock in bottle before and thought it was great. Some nice beers here I think!

Piraat, 10.5% Belgian pale ale, added to the list of beers at the Well for Oktoberfest.

Anyone heading down? I plan on taking the camper to Kerry for the bank holiday so might pop in to Cork for a bit.
