Is anyone mad enough to travel to Co. Mayo for a taste /meet /swap, session on Saturday 22 September 2007? The venue will be the workshop at my home, which I will convert into a makeshift one-night bar.

All members are welcome brewing and non-brewing

I leave open to discussion what format of tasting you would like to do? I thought the thing Bull and Castle worked well. Non-brewers can bring commercial versions. Or we can just go for an open session (bring your best stuff)
You will have to sort your own accommodation. My home is about 1 mile from Foxford Co. Mayo. Taxis are not hard to come by for local journeys.

Here are a few links to get you going.

There is lots of stuff to do for anyone wanting to bring partners and family and make a weekend of it. Summer might just come late this year, who knows?

There's a chance I could make it. My girlfriend's family live in Killala so I could fit it in around a family visit, perhaps.

I should be able to manage this

Might be up there around that time. Is it saturday afternoon or evening.

Thought I would just let that develop its self over the coming weeks. It had crossed my mind to “do a brew” that afternoon for anyone that wants to “see it done” But I would need help for this as I am only at extract stage and no expert, plus lightly to be busy getting stuff ready that afternoon

Hmm, definite possibility, depending on the fella, who'll need to be heading home that weekend after staying with me for a couple of months.

With that in mind, how far is Foxford from Galway airport? What time would one have to leave Foxford in order to be at the airport by 9am at the latest?
