Someone (AFriendInMead, I think) came up with an idea for an ICB outing. What if we get together and go out to David Llewellyns orchard in Lusk?
The idea is that we bring our own sealable vessels and buy apple juice, blended for cider making, then take it home to ferment. David would give a talk about cider making techniques and you could ask him questions, etc. You could also buy cider, apple juice, balsamic vinegar and anything else that takes your fancy.
I had a chat with David about this and he is willing to host the event, if we can get the numbers to make it viable.
We still have to work out the logistics of getting a bunch of ICBers there and worse, home with their apple juice, but I’m sure we can work something out, if enough people are actually interested in attending.
For practical reasons I don't think I need to point out, this would be an Autumn event.
