Actually, it seems as though it is more to do with resourcing than with the concept itself.

They are hoping to allocate some of the space on the June Bloom weekend to Irish breweries.

It really is a shame. It seemed like an excellent event, expected crowds notwithstanding.

Ah booo.

Considering how ICB members got drafted on the Sunday in to pulling pints, I was thinking it would be a good promotion of Beoir to have a load of us volunteer for the weekend in conjunction with Board Bia.
It would be a win win all around. They get free staff and we get to promote Beoir wearing some sort of logo T-Shirt etc.

I know I would do it.

Seems like the Bloom[/url:1z84yv74] thing is go. Does this mean the September fest is now cancelled? Does anybody know what craft brewers are attending this?

Is ICB or Beoir involved?

Strange that Bord Bia deem it appropriate to prioritise a gardening event over a drinks event. Is promotion of gardens part of their mandate ? I thought it was to promote Irish food and drink products.
