I am still up for this. I even have a new pop up tent which I plan to try tonight in Kilkenny.

I spent a week around the Menai Strait last summer, on a boat so not camping, so I can't help you there. But there are some great little towns up along the strait. from Caernarfon on the main land right up to Beaumaris on the island. A little further south and you're into the Snowdonia National Park. I went as far as Porthmadog, which is a nice spot too, and well worth a visit.

August 21st is best for me as July 10th I will only have been back in the country from San Francisco a few days and not sure if I would be up to another weekend away from home.
