+1 on Aleman's stout. There's nothing like this on the Irish market and there really should be. Pint bottles and all.

+1 also on Biertourist's IPA -- lovely balance of toffee and hops.

Andrew: I "rescued" your lemonade bottle and will return it to you. It may or may not contain cider when I do, depending on the timing.

A great night, good to finally meet some of the lads.

Highlights for me were Ale Man's stout, Biertourists DIPA and Richies Steam Beer.

It was great to get some feedback on my own brew as well.

Dare I ask what you did with the contents?

I had a good night. Boy- you guys brew some seriously decent beers. I'm just happy that Richard didn't spit the mouthful of "Canadian Ale" back over me...

And thanks to everyone who gave me tips (which oddly excluded "never try to make beer again...")

Hi y'all,

Good session last night I have to say. By the time I arrived, a lively crowd was in full flow. Good to put more names to faces.

Although I missed the earlier samples, I have to say the beers I tasted were top notch.

Of particular note were Ginga Ninja "Beer" and the Five Chilli "Flaming Arsehole" Stout. Richie's Steam beer and Beertourist's DIPA were both excellent. Unfortunately I missed the Aleman's Stout. Better luck next time.

I'll likely miss the session next month but I'm already looking forward to the following month's meetup. Hopefully I'll have an APA to bring along.
