It normally starts when the first few get tired of awkwardly pretending to care that the others haven't turned up yet, and then just start opening bottles. It's generally easy to spot the ICBers too, we'll have the table at the back in the beer hall, beside the window. Sometimes you see foam gushing from bottles too... so keep an eye out for that

Usually it's the two in the corner by the window. And if some conscientious attendee has seen to it, there'll be klein glasses, jugs of water and empty steins on the tables too.

no seriously it's not hard to spot a bunch of beer geeks, a ragged troupe of folk at a table covered in curious bottles and large slop-steins.
