The discarded bottles are apparently dangerous to the ponies and donkeys that normally live in the field.

I suppose so.....And all the young kids that were running around. There was a great family atmosphere actually...nice to see that an alcohol related event can be done in this country without it turning ugly.

I don't think I saw any unpleasantness at all -- that's a big benefit of closing at 6.30, I guess. After that, it's the pubs' problem

The annual Hilden festival is similarly child friendly. They even had outdoor games this year.

It was jammers alright so hopefully next year it will expand even more. Fair play to the ICB crew and I would second more visuals and tasting stuffs for next time as I felt you were stuck down the corner a little bit and were out of sight. Looking forward to next year already [/quote:j9udjgpi]

I've also found whitewater to be rather unhelpful to homebrewers they guard their recipes as if they were this weeks winning lotto numbers.
What kind of stout is it im sure after tasting it that a recipe could be easily cobbled together. For instance if its a non-hoppy dry stout: pale malt, some roast malts, none or v.little crsytal, single hop addition at start of the boil and a suitable yeast ie nottingham.

It's a very simple but tasty yoke, 4.2% ABV with chocolate malt at the front. Not a million miles from O'Hara's at all.
