Franciscan Well EasterFest? 17 years 3 weeks ago #1

Apologies if there is already a thread regarding this somewhere - does anyone on the site, in particular the Cork contingent, know what's happening with the Franciscan Well EasterFest this year? Nothing much on their website, aside from a mention of a Dunkel Weisse being brewed for the occasion (although for all I know, that could be from last year!). If it's going ahead, any plans for ICB meetups that weekend?
Cheers

Yeah, the Well tends to be a bit last-minute with their publicity.

I'll be there from opening time (2pm, usually) on Saturday.

White Gypsy/MM will be there, with an aged keg of MM Imperial: the last in existence. Hooker will be there with their Dark Wheat and the Irish Pale Ale. There'll be some representation by the Porterhouse, though I don't know if they'll have an actual stand or just be sending some beer down.

The other usual suspects are UCC pilot brewery and Hilden plus importers Beer Heaven and Árainn Mhór. Last year the Abbot's had a stall, and were selling Whitewater beers from it. I'd hope that Beoir Chorca Duibhne will be there this year: they were expected last time but couldn't make it.

Super stuff, thanks for the info chaps. Myself and grainne will be heading down on the Saturday - wasn't sure what time, but now it appears we'll need to be early to make sure that Imperial is still going, lesson learnt having missed the Leann Follainn at the B&C on Paddy's weekend due to general tardiness. Looking forward to meeting some more ICB'ers <!-- s:-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:-) -->

I presume Carlow will be there too.

Bighair, earlier is definitely better, not just so the beer isn't gone, but it tends to fill up after 6pm.
