I haven't been able to spend much time on the site it the last week so would like to make a few comments re the Easterfest.

Again a superb event. Well run and superbly orgnaised.

The following were my highlights -

Takig these from the order of the programme rather in preferential order -

Carlow - The Druid'd brew was superb. A lovely cask conditioned stout. raelly very good.

Hilden / College Green, - Liked all their beers but most imperssed with Ireland's Call their new addition. Always great to see Hilden down at the fest with their lovely beers.

Messrs / White Gypsy - I won't go on here about the Imperial stout but it blew me away!! I know it is not everyone's taste but I really loved it. Cualan's IPA was very good too.

Hooker - Both Pale ale and Dunkel. Two great beers from two great guys. I am really enjoying the dunkel at the moment. Congrats Aidan and Ronan for winning beer of the year!

UCC - I just had a sample or their 6.5% bock I was a little surprised that they only brought one beer this year as other years they usually had three beers done - I wonder is it because of cutbacks or whatever.
Porterhouse - Great to see the Porterhouse down this year with a decent selection of beers presented by their own staff. I only had a few pints of Chocolate Trouffle stout tna dhte TSB which were both rvery good. On a preivous thread i mentioned the taste of chocolate lessening as one goes down the glass. THis sure was not the case last week-end. - a really great beer. Well done guys.
Franciscan - To my shame the only Franciscan beer I had this week-end was a pint of Phuca frorm the final keg held over for the fest. Again a great beer.

The event was really wlell supported as always. Both evenings as I left c 830-930-ish big queues waiithg to go i - defintely better to go early!

Also great to meet fellow ICB members and fellow beerites from other years!

Roll on next year!!!

That's something Geoff made to resell as Phuca <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

Actually the plan was to hold on to a keg of Phúca, let it win an ICB award, and re-sell back to FWB.

now, whats the international code for Cork....
