The city location would be better as it would be much easier for people to get equipment to and probably a better foot fall

Why not a tasting session where the taster gets to compare a Porterhouse brew, the commercial/macro version they are "copying", and something in the same style from an ICB brewer? Might be too easy for ICB folks, but if Joe Public was involved, it ought to give the Porterhouse the chance to reinforce the fact their beers are superior, and ICB to introduce the idea that it's possible to make something even better yourself (with a bit of practice).

I know this could open up issues if the macro version were explicitly named (and we all know the PH have skirted that issue closely enough in the past) so it may not be a go-er. But, if it's a blind tasting, the samples would be poured out of sight anyway.

Just an idea...like the foodie suggestions from earlier in the thread BTW.

Thinking some more, if this were to be held in the PH Central, it could get a few more customers onto their beers. Always seems to be far more folks there drinking more mainstream bottles and spirits. Seems like more of a party venue than the others, so maybe wouldn't work anyway.

Might the Porterhouse be expecting us to suggest that we hold our very own 'Best Homebrewed Beer' competition and that their celebrity judges choose their favourite from our selection? Seems logical that this is their intention and is in fact quite easy for ICB to organise. Everyone loves an award ceremony after all.....

It would be cool if ICB could arrange some car rear windscreen stickers that have logos such as "Proud to be...an ICB" against the Irish Craft Brewer logo and symbol strip to distribute regardless of what we decide to do for the festival.
