The mysterious stranger and I will of course be bringing beers. Not sure what yet, we have a few different ones on the go. What is the success rate of bottling a few straight from the keg on the day they're to be consumed?

It should be fine, it's better if you have some sort of filling device e.g. counterfiller or beergun but you'll get away with more low tech methods if it's for near instant drinking. Make sure the bottles are very cold as this will help to reduce foaming, you will most likely lose some carbonation but that's hard to avoid without the gadgets.

edit: I haven't tried this but apparently it's easy to make your own filler[/url:2a5cihq0]

Cheers. That's what I thought. I filled a couple from the keg on Saturday (I had the bottles in the freezer for a while before-hand), so I'll test them tonight.

Adding in myself and grainne. We have some Nog kegged that seems to be improving with time, so will try the same trick as Noby and bottle some on the night for immediate drinking. We also have a kit wheat beer bottled that didn't seem to work well so may look for some advice on that one - still learning and all that.

I'd love to come again in February, assuming there is room for me and the lack of beer that I can bring!
