Hi all,
I'm completely new to all of this and am still at the kit brewing stage. (First one was a disaster for many reasons). I currently have a second kit in the fermenter (Coopers wheat beet), which won't be ready for the 19th.

iF no-one has any objections, I'd like to come along and just get a feel for the meetings and meet a few people, and hopefully leech some info and tips.

I take it that ‘The Management’ has no objection to others lurking at the bar sampling the considerable delights available for purchase in this establishment.[/quote:2ttgejxn]

As "The management" i am oblidged to run the business according to the wishes of the owner, including how the bookings are handled. I have absolutely no issue holding enough table space for 10-12 persons, but cannot be seen to be giving special treatment to any particular set of customers, after all the B&C is a destination business and it is unfair to ask paople to travel here and not have seats to offer them.

As it is the owner thinks it rather amusing that i would allow a number of people to bring their own beer to a pub. In saying this he understands the value of such customers and allows the arrangement to take place regularly, as long as we buy the odd drink or two.

I hope this explains my own position as both a member of ICB, and as an employee.

So, all ICB events are welcome with as much table space as is possible to provide(regardless of the number of attendees), and throw a few quid at the till by way of rent.* <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

[quote:vng86o2w]Maybe we need an "IBC meeting/tasting table" and a general drinking table [/quote:vng86o2w]

I/we have nothing new to bring this meet up, but would still love to come along and have a beer and a chat with those like minded activists on the general tasting table - which I nominate be as close to the bar as possible without actually hindering the barmans movement!

I feared this meeting might fall on the 19th. I'm out of the country sadly, but it looks like things are a little full anyway.
