How about two sessions of that?
7-9: Sampling of pale beers.
9-10: Food; beer change; commercial break.
10-12: Sampling of dark beers.

Would that work?

Should do. It's a start anyway.
How many actual bottles are being brought ??

When I said show and tell around the big tables, I meant something like the last one, where we had a few tables joined together, but was big enough that "natural breaks" or groupings happened all over the place. I doubt there's any need to set up stalls (though that sounds great ). Even the way we did the first one, with one big long table down by the window would allow people to set up stall with their beer, and a kinda musical chairs could happen so tasters can sweep majestically accross the beers. Or am I getting confused with bison sweeping accross the plains... hmmm. I think I'd better have a beer.

Whatever we go with I think labels on all bottles is essential. I liked what we did the first tasting where everyone gave a little introduction to their brew before it was handed out.

Lots of simultaneous beer and a festival feel to it is the way to go, I reckon.

TBN that sounds good. As you say with that many beers theres no way we could do it one after the other. Maybe we should to simultaneous beers and serve beers from the same style at the same time.

The other option is to split ot over 2 nights and have it again next thursday
