Is that any relation to Shropshire Blue? A cheese I'm quite partial to myself. Comes from Inverness in Scotland, no connection to the county of Shropshire.

I think its a pity its not staying all cask.
Would there be anything particularly hard about putting beer in a cask for the fest?
I think ill be going as it was the best beerfest ive been to, the quality of the casks last year was incredible.

i would have wanted it to be all cask but there simply is not enough. we ran out last year on the Saturday night. Also with the amount of new brewery openings some are finding it hard to get exposure. I know how hard that can be and that is why ive opened it up. I am sure most of these guys will have winter/cask beers next year but if not supported we might lose some.Judging by the quality of what I have tasted so far it would be awful to lose any of them

Some beer just doesn't work in cask either and it'd be worse, imo, to just throw any beer into a cask and sell it hoping for the best. Would love to be going myself.
