Went to Brovarnia and enjoyed their wheat and dark ales. They didn't have their single hop IPA on unfortunately, while we were their the Spanish national team showed up too. Can't imagine they were there for a few brews though.
Derek, we went to a bar on a side street off the main square that boasted "120 Polish beers", I kept asking for anything but Pils/lager and kept getting lager. <!-- s:| --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_neutral.gif" alt="

" title="Neutral" /><!-- s:| --> They also had no wheat beer or wit.
In general I found Polish beer to be pretty rubbish. Tyskie, Lech, Warka and Zywiec seemed to be the most regularly available. Lech Pils was probably the best of the lot.
The stuff made by Pinta was fantastic though. Their APA smelt amazing and reminded me of Punk IPA and their stout was also lovely. Would definitely buy more if it appeared in Ireland. Couldn't get into the Brovaria in Poznan as it was always rammed but found another brewpub in Gdansk that was pretty decent, had alt, wit and pils. After several days of crappy lagers anything was gonna taste good I suppose.
If you're ever about Poznan the tour of the Lech brewery is definitely worth seeing. We paid 6PLN with a student card (€1.40) and got our own personal tour guide. It's a working brewery so you get to experience all the sights, smells and temperatures and also see just how mechanised they've made the entire process. The bottling/canning lines alone were mesmerising. The guide said it was so quick it would only take them 48 hours to bottle everyone in Ireland a beer. Mental.
Some photos of the nicer stuff.
