Nice to see the Northside catching up with the southside.

Myself and Dempsey were there last night from about 7pm to 9:30.

Not sure this is going to be the runaway success that Mulligans in Bohemian Stoneybatter is. There's a distinct shortage of poets and play-writes around Dorset St, and I think quite a few of the locals are foreign who in general don't seem go to the local very often.

Couple of lessons learned too. Like if you're not going to sell Guinness you need to offer an alternative at the same price point, otherwise all sorts of bad shit happens.

I went there on a quiet thursday night there last week. No cask, they said they'll only get it in if there is enough interested.
Firstly I did really like their old bar area and staff were cool. They even let me have a bamberg smokie glass.
Sat at the bar as all the old bar area seats were full. It looks like 70% of the pub is all camp/fruity style eating area though <!-- s:? --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->
No one was sitting in these two big areas and I can see why. Maybe nice to be sitting for a meal with the girlfriend but otherwise a no-no. I think they could have went more traditional bar style with some more of this space!
Overall a good 8/10 but if they could get rid of some of the bright girly seating then it would be a 10

Was in yesterday for the first time.

7€ for a bottle of Schneider Weisse Tap 4 Mein Grünes.

I won't be back.

By that logic, I should not return to Black sheep after paying over €8 for a corca dhuibhne stout.

There is plenty of other beers that are reasonable value, especially the cask. I rarely get bottled beer in pubs because it's too expensive.
