In Messers at the moment enjoy a nice pint of pale ale at the bar and got chatting to the manager there. He was telling me the brewer there now is getting ready to cask up a stout and they hope to fit a pump themselves in the next few weeks. Hopefully another cask beer pub soon <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

They have a beer engine at the end of the bar on the 1st floor. It's been there for 10 years. I've never seen it connected to anything tho.

Weird place, I adore that Brown Ale but it's often a case of asking someone, them not know what I'm talking about, them asking someone else, then [i:2ggk1rnd] someone else[/i:2ggk1rnd] going and checking then being told no there's none, then asking if it's maybe on a different floor and being told no only to take a chance and check a different floor and low and behold there it is.
Lots of hard work but it's worth it and their seafood chowder is nice.
