But Hobgoblin does have a bit of recognition -- some of the Supermarkets sell it, for instance.

Have to say that I'm not a particular fan of Hobgoblin any more, for some reason its lost its appeal.

I never took to Hobgoblin to be honest, I would prefer Pride any day, but it wouldn't be too difficult to stock both.

edit: I do enjoy their 'Lager Boy' ad though, and it's probably a good one to have in pub that's trying to challenge their drinkers to try something new.

I quite like hobgoblin, couldn't tell you why but it's just one of those beers that i like without thinking too much about.

that ad is brilliant, it's in the stairway for the abbot's alehouse here in cork.

Something you might need to think about would be how to keep the ladies entertained (I'm assuming they'll be tagging along at some stage <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!-- s:roll: --> ). A nice wine list or something (or a chocolate stout like youngs?)?
