I've already emailed CAMRA and they had a couple of suggestions, I've also had a look at fancyapint and beerintheevening sites so I'm sure we'll find plenty.

And thanks for your suggestions too, if we get over to Highgate it sounds like there are a few worth trying out. I'm keen to find somewhere serving Landlord as I really enjoyed it the last time I tried it.

I have a copy of the CAMRA good beer guide 2007.

Anyone going over let me know and I will look up the recommended pubs in the area you are visiting.

I Know south London quite well as I lived there for a number of years.

the best pub in North London, is called the Wenlock Arms near Angel tube station, it has been voted best pub several times by CAMRA in North London.

About 20 ales on tap including a mild, several small breweries like Pitfield and Dark Star,O'Hanlons supply ale.

A cider and perry on cask

Bottled foreign beers and one or two lagers.

Good sandwichs.

Best pub I was ever in for real ale

That place is famous. Any thread about real ale in London, will inevitably feature the Wenlock Arms. It is an immutable law of the universe. Congratulations Rebel, you have been used as the instrument of fate.

Bigears and I should combine forces to do an article on the Wenlock Arms, it is the best real ale pub.

If you were to go one pub with ale in London this is the one for beer. The best brewery pub in england is the Blue Anchor in Cornwall. I must get some time to do an article on this one. I am caught for time at present.

A field for the forum to either of the about two venues would be an out standing weekend.

I'll second that, this has really caught my attention. rebel, you're an absolute star. The day will start in the Wenlock Arms - if you have any more tips I'll be glad to hear them.
