its open !!! and is a fine spot, lovely decoration with every kind of beer mat stuck to the wall in between beer mirrors, beer pictures, beer plaques etc.5 draughts Bavaria / Rebel red are the regulars Weihnstephan vitus and hefe also Vedett extra white. Spoke to Barry the prop. he has a huge list of guest draught beers lined up , including a lot of belgians. There is also a fridge with various beers in it and you can also head downstairs and pick anything from the shop below. Nice friendly staff , good relaxed music at a nice volume. Will definitly be making return visits.

Yeah went there yesterday, and it sure is a great place... had a Goudenband and Mariage Parfait... where else in Ireland would you get that? Seems like Barry has great plans for the place. Not to be missed!

Called for the first time on Friday night with Rebel. List of beers as per Oconn's entry but obviousl the draught menu will change as time goes on. The beauty about the place is the fact that you can look at a beer downsairs in the offlicence and then order it upstairs - at upstairs prices of course!! Hope it works out well - I think so far they are pleased with attendance solong may it continue.

I will definitely pop in again hopefully in the not too distant future.

On the night we met shared partook of bottles of St. Peter's Cream Stout and Longueville Cider(Frnech) which were both very good. Had started our evening in the Corner House (Rebel Red) and ended up in the Bierhaus - clotworthy dobbin etc. Needless to say a good night was had!!!!

pity i couldnt make it...abbot ale house is a real nice spot.more of a place to have a few good ones rather than a session pub.. the prices are not overly inflated upstairs considering the quality / rarity of beers. Eg a 750ml bottle of beer X ( 8.5 %) retails at 8.60 down stairs and is 10 upstairs ( thats probably the price of bacardi breezer or the likes in temple bar <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) --> )....served in appropriate branded glassware
