Well, hopefully it's ok now. It's nothing major really. Barry was to leave the Norseman and the owners knew that no one would put the same time and effort in to keeping the craft range going so they decided to cut it down. It's still a better range than most Temple bar pubs I believe.

Barry will be setting up on his own, possibly a brew pub if he can manage it but at the least, a good beer bar somewhere.

I'm not sure where he is at with his plans, he might even still be at the Norseman. I don't get in there these days since I moved back to Westmeath.

Really I would have though there would be a few experienced people in Dublin/Ireland now chomping at the bit to get a chance like that

That's a terrible excuse. There's plenty of experienced craft barstaff out there now. They never even advertised for one! Plus, as business owners they should themselves be educated in what they're selling.

I was in it a few weeks ago for lunch and IIRC the only craft taps are O'Hara's. I didn't think to check the fridge.

Just O'Hara's from what I head but I was told there's about 6 of them.

I notice they didn't take out any *tap handles* - still the same number of beers. And that's the problem.

They - and lots of other pubs - still want to offer variety (or the illusion of it) because it's what the punters want these days. Just without all the trouble of, you know, actually learning about the beer they sell.

That's what should concern us at Beoir.
